As a cold sleeper sharing a bed with a hot sleeper, I was just about ready to try the Scandinavian sleep method of two duvets for one bed before this 3-in-1 wonder came into my life. Made of two duvets (4.5 and 9 tog) the two duvets can attach to create a thick 13.5 tog, meaning there's an option for every season. But the biggest factor is that it goes to the smallest tog without scrimping on that cosy, goose-down filling.
Scoom's Hungarian goose-down duvet: is it worth buying?
For a luxury option, Scoom's Hungarian goose down duvet is soft, light and it retains its cloud-like feather feel even with the lightest tog – keeping you just the right balance of cosy and temperature controlled. It's been an ideal middle ground for me, someone who prefers huge, heavy and cloud-like duvets and a partner who would be happy with the thinnest of flat sheets. You can also sleep easy knowing that your duvet is certified ethically sourced and traceable to a single location in Hungary.
How we tested Scoom's Hungarian goose-down duvet
I spent more than two months sleeping with Scoom's Hungarian goose-down duvet, from a mild spring into a sometimes-hot-sometimes-cold British summer. I used the 9 tog duvet in spring and the 4.5 tog in summer. During testing, I took note of the duvet's breathability, comfort and structural integrity.

How much does Scoom's Hungarian goose-down duvet cost?
You don't want to scrimp on getting a feather duvet that you know is ethically sourced, and it's also 3 duvets in 1. The all-season 13.5 duvet currently costs £425 for double and £499 for king size. The duvets can also be bought separately with the lightest 2.5 tog option starting at £145. Buying an all-season duvet is generally a more cost-effective option as buying two separate duvets.
Delivery
Delivery was seamless with free UK next-day delivery in one-hour time slots with DPD. Like many duvets, Scoom's Hungarian goose-down duvet came rolled in a cardboard box. Inside, the duvets are in a bright green material storage bag with handles. This is particularly handy as storage for stashing away the duvet you aren't using if you're not stacking the two together at one time.
Things are pretty seamless for returns too. You get a 60-night trial during which time you can take your Scooms duvet for a test run and if you don't love it you can return it for free. The brand will email you a prepaid DPD return label that you can print at home.
Scoom's Hungarian goose-down duvet verdict
I love how breathable the duvet is, both togs separately have been great at regulating temperature for hot sleepers. At the same time, the luxurious filling and casing materials keep the duvet having that hotel-worthy, cloud-like feeling to keep things cosy. The brand's return policy is also one of the most generous we've seen with a 60-day trial period – this is especially great considering the price tag.
It doesn't come cheaply, with the king-size option nearing what some mattresses will set you back.
